ABOUT US

Learn More About Our Company History & Why Mountain Air Is a Great Place to Work

Mountain Air Conditioning and Heating was started by Vance Rhead and Lori Barlow-Rhead. Lori grew up in the HVAC industry and learned the meaning of old-fashioned values and personalized service from her father, Roger Barlow. He founded Barlow Wasatch Furnace Company in 1954. In 1980, Lori’s husband, Vance, began working there, and Lori joined the company in 1989. In June of 1993, Lori and Vance bought the company from her father, and in 1999 sold it to Lennox Industries, which later became Barlow Service Experts.

In the fall of 2008, they decided to return to their independent, family-owned roots. They took their combined 40 years of knowledge and experience in the HVAC industry, including air conditioning in Utah and furnace repair in Utah, and started Mountain Air Conditioning and Heating.
